EGEE II started on 1 April 2006 and the new EGEE website can be found at:

GN2 Project
The broad objective of the GN2 Project, is to provide a high bandwidth
network, which interconnects the national research and education
networks (NRENs) in Europe and which offers guaranteed performance and
virtual private network capability to groups of end users.
EGEE, as a major GRID Infrastructure project concerned with the development,
implementation and operation of GRID technologies, has a demanding
requirement for network services between its consortium members, which
are distributed throughout Europe.
Some of the services are still under development but the ultimate goal is to provide services from GN2 to users
of the EGEE project.
