Overview

What is Dissemination and Outreach?

Dissemination is key to the success of the EGEE project. In order for the project to succeed, it is vital to actively promote and raise awareness of EGEE to a wide-range of audiences.

The Dissemination Plan is a communications strategy that identifies key messages, key audiences, the methods of communication to utilise and measures for success.

The lead partner of the Dissemination Activity is TERENA (based in The Netherlands). TERENA works closely with the Project Office (based at CERN in Switzerland) and the NA2 partners across Europe.

NA2 produces a range of publicity material (information sheets, brochures, news releases etc.) and maintains both the Public website (public.eu-egee.org/) and the NA2 technical pages. A number of localised EGEE websites have also been set-up by the NA2 partners click here for more details.

The main NA2 responsibilities in the EGEE project include:

  • Create, manage and promote the EGEE brand;
  • Keep EGEE in the media spotlight;
  • Produce a range of quality publicity material;
  • Promote and publicise EGEE at key events;
  • Create and manage a database of all EGEE presentations;
  • With the User Information Group ensure that prospective users have easy access to the information they need;
  • Set-up and manage EGEE websites;
